What are... "Dawdlers"?

Inspired by the avalanche of great pop music that's come from Britain and its Commonwealth since The Beatles started that train down the tracks, and much American music which was in turn inspired by or compatible with that, The Dawdlers are melodic pop specialists.

The band is expert in the British Pop genre created during the British Invasion by, in greatest part, The Beatles, and extended and refined by British & Commonwealth artists & bands of the next generation like Peter Gabriel, Sting, Crowded House and Paul Young,  as well as Squeeze, Elvis Costello & The Attractions, The Police, Split Enz and INXS from the New Wave period of the late 1970's and early 1980's.

More recent bands covered from this genre are Men at Work, Radiohead, Coldplay and Keane, and The Dawdlers play a few tunes by early British Invader forebears Gerry & The Pacemakers, The Dave Clark Five, and, of course, The Beatles themselves, as well as many complementary songs by American artists like Cheap Trick, Marshall Crenshaw, Kacey Musgraves, Los Lobos, Amy Winehouse, The Stray Cats, The Pretenders, Shawn Colvin, Prince, and Guster (and they even do one by The Monkees!).
